SMART check not installed and Short DST not installed.
Anyone know what to do to fix this? Have googled and just getting pusses off now, plus can't access much Internet on my phone either.

Farted about in bios, did some stuff that seemed logical, dunno if it works but now my computer wanted to connect to the Internet and needs rebooting. How do I reboot?

There is no curser, am on the black screen of death.
Dunno why I didn't get any disks with this laptop? Pretty sure that's all I need :/

"when you switch on your laptop press down on the f12 key and then a list of options will come up..then you should be able to fix any errors on your pc"
F12 is network boot on this laptop |

I have thanks. Just needs a boot device, according to itself right now. Just gonna take it back to the shop and let them sort it, at their expense, for the sake of not giving me any discs or having anything I can connect to online. Am not paying for support or buying and CDs. :/ |

You won't have any discs as I guess there's a recovery partition on the HD . Not sure how to access it though , its usually one of the f keys that needs to be pressed when booting up before the windows logo appears . Not used win8 though so don't hold me to it . |

Drive's broke.
I think the disc would have had to be used every time until i got something saved into the laptop anyway, not sure if that would matter or not but gonna send it off to be fixed.
Thanks though, don't need any more help, i'm all set up on superfast windows7 whoooo. I missed this, actually surprised at the new features it has since i last used it, looks very nice.  |

Ran diagnosis check if that's what you mean?
First time it said SMART check and Short DST unavailable, last time it said they were missing. Shoved it back in the box for taking back now anyway. |

If you've changed settings in the BIOS, then that's probably the reason why it won't start. Windows 8 requires certain settings and changing them will stop it from working.
If you can get back into the BIOS, then look for a setting to reset to defaults... this should at least make it boot again.
You can't "Reboot" on the internet.... Reboot, means to "Turn off and Back on again" |

No. I only changed BIOs after it stopped working.
Right cmputer been slowing down a lot over the past few days, today it crashed. When i turned it back on all i can access is the black screen, and some options from it (F buttons, not all of them but 5 of them, if i change BIOs, if i don't change BIOs then all i can access is f2 and diagnositcs menu).
I can access the download drive menu, if i change a cpl of option in BOOT menu. I can connect to the internet to download drive but nothing downloads (don't know why, don't care, someone else will fix it lol).
Thanks for all advice, i gave up trying ages ago, am knackered and never took to win8 so never got into figuring out how to use it properly.
