I wish I'd seen the Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan production of Waiting for Godot but never got round to it.

Hedda Gabler with Sheridan Smith was one of the best I've seen. And Richard Armitage was very good in the Crucible.

Manchester Area

A few years ago saw Patrick Stewart in London doing his one man show of A Christmas Carol, on man a lectern, a hat stand and a table which also doubled as a bed.

No costume changes, but he was brilliant. It is available on CD and his voice is liquid gold

Have seen quite a lot and love west end theatre - though it's bloody expensive!

Last performances I saw were Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, One Man Two Guvnors and I Can't Sing (which was really silly!).

Sounds like we ought to organise fab theatre socials in the new year? Seems an awful lot of forumites are into far more than just sex/drinking. Xx

I've seen quite a few over the years. This year I've seen Matilda & Blood Brothers.

I had to postpone seeing Wicked in London, got that rescheduled for March.

I've got tickets for Charlie & The Chocolate Factory as a present and I'll get to go too, so win/win!

Lion King, Miss Saigon and Mamma Mia I'd like to see.

Joking aside I think it takes guts, my stage is a sports pitch with very little audience. Easy for me when compared to people who get up on a stage

I was going to mention this. It always was an occasion to dress up and I still do make an effort but the majority of theatre goers have a very casual approach these days (hope that doesn't make me sound old lol) x

Aw bless 'em. Not everyone can afford a theatre ticket and a new frock! Lol

Well I look at it like this. At least these people take the time to support live performances. I have the same ethos about music. I enjoy listening to it but to support the band(s) by buying a ticket keeps these guys going xx

For sheer stupidity, Spamalot is an absolute hoot. Best show ever was Sweeny Todd with Michael Ball. I can't stand the bloke normally, but he was bloody brilliant in it!

I most want to see War of the Worlds, in fact I need to download the album tonight!
