those of you who know me on faebook know this story already but I thought it was funny so will share with my fab friends as well....
My niece and nephew paid me a surprise visit before work on Friday as my dad was looking after them. they wanted to come in and look at my tree, and being a nice aunty I let them.
After a couple of minutes I remembered that their presents were under the tree, fairly visible, waiting to be wrapped up!!! I quickly ushered them back into my dads but I fear for the eldest it was too late.
On the way to school he asked 'so, am I getting a pogo stock for Christmas then?!'
I thought on my feet and came up with such a great rebuttal....'no! I don know other kids you know!!!'.........think I saved it |

"Until he gets a pogo stick.
"
I don't think I did save it....his mum told me today he was saying he was getting a pogo stick!
going to have to imaginatively wrap it up now to throw him off a bit.... |

Could you buy something else and keep the pogo stick for a bday gift? |

I'd get him a box, wrap that and put something tiny in like a little pocket money Lego figures pack. They have the stick in with the brooms etc. and ask him to get the broom to clear up.

Kids can't keep things to themselves. My granddaughter used the laptop after my daughter then pointed out the exact coat my daughter had bought her and said she wanted it for Christmas |
