Man Utd 1-0 Newcastle
Berbatov scores for the 2nd time in two matches. Has he turned a corner at United finally?
Rooney's playing like a shadow of his former self. The man looks truly World Cup shell-shocked. |

"was berbatov the guy the fans all wanted to send back to tottenham last year because of hir lazy attitude?."
Only in the papers, most fans considered him to be worth more time to settle. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
"did manchester united come along after manchester city?,and with another name before recent years changing to manchester united?."
Both had a previous name, no idea who existed first, or who changed first, but none of it was recent! United changed in 1908 I think |

MANCHESTER UNITED
*****************
The parish of Newton Heath was the birthplace of the Newton Heath Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Football Club which was established in 1878 and would later become the world famous Manchester United. It began life as a football team formed by Frederick Attock a Liverpudlian, who was a superintendent engineer of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway(L&YR). The team played on a pitch at North Road, and were initially outfitted in green and gold jerseys. By 1892, they had been admitted to the Football League. The club remained in the area until 1893, when it moved to new premises at Bank Street in nearby Clayton. The name was changed to Manchester United Football Club in 1902.

MANCHESTER CITY
***************
Their first known competitive fixture was played in November 1880, when the side was known as St. Mark's (West Gorton); they then became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before changing their name to Manchester City Football Club in 1894. |

"Who gives a fuck it's the wrong shaped ball played by a bunch of overpaid prima donna's"
So go start a tiddly-winks thread or some such other then. Why post that on here where the majority DO like football. |
