I've been a bad bad girl

I went along with a group suggestion and, horror of horrors, I went to see the Paddington film!

I think you probably could have gotten away with it had you presented it as irresistible peer pressure. But 'fessing up that you liked it - I think you're in BIG trouble

It wasn't my choice of film - that decision was made by the part of the group who are under 4 foot tall. I'd have to have been a party pooper to decline to see it "cos Lickety said so"

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I am giving you the hardest Paddington stare possible TD!

I am still resolute.

My family keep telling me I will enjoy it but what is the point of principles and promises if you don't keep them?

It's not Paddington! I understand the imposter bear is cute and makes you forget the real Paddington but we had a perfectly good bear already and I am sure he was willing to come out of retirement for this film.

My punishment for you is that you must go onto the Tube that is You and watch Paddington Does Singing in the Rain. THAT'S the real Paddington.

You'd better be coming to my party next year.

Hmmm, that sounds like a near miss though.

Note the punishment above and make her watch it too.

I assume that was for something else and not to be the voice of the imposter bear?

If the film is intended for kids, it should NOT be called Paddington! It didn't even need to be a bear! If its intended to be for anyone old enough to know THE Paddington, it wants destroying! Its NOT anything like our well known, well loved, funny, cuddly, loveable, GENUINE Paddington Bear! Most disgruntled! Hmmmph!

Exactly!

The real Paddington is going to lose out on all the merchandising too. This new imposter bear is appearing on sale as Paddington!

It's not Paddington. It's a very similar story and a cute one at that. If it was a bear called Bertie it would be a well loved film. I think of it as a film telling the tale of a bear called Paddington. Like they do films about Titanic or The Queen. It's a tribute.

No it was for a play he was in. He has to work on him next year to bulk him up for a Broadway play .
