Don't do christmas, no-one can force you to.
Explained to my family that i'm not doing it any more and none of them care. They think christmas is piss up time, like every other week of the year anyway. My kids already get bought everything they need all year round, and some of what they want too so they don't care either, they just want a christmas dinner and i'm happy with that. PS santa has never existed in my house either, none of them were bothered and knew how to pretend he did for other kids. |

I celebrate the solstice, the passing of the shortest day and the advent of spring.
Of course I enjoy the bonhomie and party spirit, but don't indulge in the orgy of spending and preparation. Time with family/friends, time for reflection, time for anticipation and planning, but mostly plenty of sex |

School holidays here, and 4 kids so less sex for me.
But yeah celebrating the simple things in life seems better, i prefer our christmas' now. |

"Xmas should be on the 25th of every month.
I don't see why it's stressful. It's not like it's a surprise, people know it's coming. Get the shopping started in September, bit every month. Turkey and some taters. People being friendly and wearing crap jumpers. It's brilliant!!
