I might be late to the party here...

But...

I've just figured out how to edit posts that YOU HAVE JUST POSTED.

Instead of deleting the whole thing AFTER you have completed and posted the post, click the back arrow and make the changes and repost..it edits it.

What does work is hit the reply and quote button then edit, then delete the [ quote ] bits at the beginning and end then post it and delete the original post.
