I know this will probably get 0 replies but i was just wondering what people preferred out of the 2.
Facebook gas uts advantages in chat, games and stuff but is a but harder to find anything adult, whereas twitter has all the adult side plus the ability to stalk celebrities.
So which do you prefer and why? |

"I don't like twitter and never use it but i love facebook ... i don' t use it for "adult" stuff thou!!!"
i have both but use facebook way more as its more social, twitter is a weird one i will use it but rarely.
I dont mean that i only use it for adult stuff i just meant that it is a lot rarer where as twitter you can stumble across it quite easily |

Definitely Twitter for me. I converse with Example quite regularly, privately and publicly. Also had interesting conversations with Jon Snow (I adore him), John Prescott and a smattering of other well-knowns.
Been a Twitter-ite for 6 yrs. Anyone that thinks fab forums can be 'brutal'- try Twitter..fab forums' akin to a creche compared to twitter

Facebook and just for family and friends, had a twatter account a few years ago but never understood what it was for nor how to use it and now I know, I've no interest in it at all, stalking people really isn't for me |

Really?
In that case I'll just go and inform my university professor, head of school father in law that he's appearing on JK next week |

I use Facebook for keeping in contact with the wider family and geographically dispesed friends and some local stuff. Not a lot but enough to want to keep my account. I used to be an avid Twitter user for footy banter particularly about LFC, but lost interest when I discovered the fun of this forum. |

nor me. Stalking? Same could be said of Facebook - how many 'friends' do people ACTUALLY talk to on there? Yet they still look at their pics/timeline etc. Bit creepy.. that's why although I have Facebook I've not used it for two years

I use Facebook, but only with a select group of family and friends. Surprised by the poster above who says it's for the Jeremy Kyle brigade...well mine isn't, because I only see what my friends and family post and they're not like that...
I used twitter a lot when I used to write a blog and it was excellent for that sort of social media outreach, but don't really use it for my own personal life.
And just to complete the set....I also use LinkedIn for work, and Instagram for looking at pretty pictures and stalking celebrities |

I personally enjoy Twitter a lot more. Very useful if you follow accounts you're a fan of/that are helpful.
I do use Facebook, but barely 'read' the updates people post. I use Facebook for the messenger aspect & events. More so just because it's what others are using.
It's a shame Google+ didn't take off. It had/has a nice interface. |

That's very true. Twitter users can be vitriolic and hunt in packs especially if you question a favourite celebrity of theirs. Shocking! |

"I thought it was a shame they deleted/stopped msn. That was my first social media experience and I really liked it."
Are you talking about the IM Client (went on to be called Windows Live Messenger)?
If so, I completely agree with you.
I have very fond memories of the message notification & all the strange symbols in people's nicknames. Having said that, I was only a teen at that time so we were all at it.
MSN was way more fun than Skype, in my opinion. For me, Skype is a very boring platform - I still feel that way today. Hardly any theme customisation, boring standard fonts & even the mobile app is crap for me at times. I only stopped using it as everyone else did.
Alas, we all over-sentimentalise nostalgia!

Yes, that's the one You had a 'profile' and people could leave comments on it or on your status or under your pictures. I have fond memories of that too and had some interesting chats with many using the IM messenger
I've not taken to Skype either and never use it. Ohh the good old days eh? |

Instagram are extremely prudish about adult pics, any hint of a nipple and it can be deleted. Perhaps you could use Tumblr? |

Titz Towers, North Notts |
I prefer facebook. I can play a game I like on there, see who is racist out of my school friends and when someone I used to work with puts up a pic of a woman with a lurid claim about her, I get to point out it must be true as it was on facebook.
I also get to stalk a few famous bods on there, as I've a few well relatively well known people on my friend's list.
What I don't get, is when you are downloading a porn film for education purposes, obviously, it gives you the option to share the download title on facebook, as if anyone has ever wanted their mum to know what's flavour of the month? |

Ill take a look.... I was looking for a 'community' kind of thing, where you can post pics of yer Dog AND 'Pussy' if you like
This place is cool with the 'Pussy' but a pic of yer Dog Rover would be deleted as non-adult....
Thanks again |

Facebook is to intrusive with your personal details whereas Twitter is a powerful advertising tool only giving out the info you want.
We use Twitter when doing shoots etc as I can send out a message and get 50 replies back in no time, there is no comparison among the two and both suit their users. |
