Help me!!
I like to think I'm fairly savvy when it comes to technology nut this has got me stumped.
My phone keeps telling me I have insufficient storage on it. When I go to the storage bit on the settings it's telling me I have 10gb of internal storage available...is that a lot or not a lot?
I can't update or install any new apps on it and it's pissing me off lol I dint have that many downloaded apps and games on it etc.
Am i best off doing a factory reset and clearing it all back to as new? |

Yes 10gb is a decent amount of storage. No app will be greater than 10gb.
However, the storage on your phone may be partitioned, that 10gb might not be available for apps, it may just be allowed to store music, images etc.
You should try deleting some apps you don't use first. |

depends where the internal storage is?
some phones have different places for storing different things.
i had an LG phone that had a decent memory but where it stored the games it was only in a small amount of that memory.
factory reset you will lose all your data, so make sure you save that (in cloud or wherever). |

"install Clean Master or AVG anti virus
they let you manage apps and storage really well and let you know about memory usage etc.
I can't download any apps cos it says there's no space "
They're not large, so start by removing something which is approaching 100Mb in size.
I'm sure there's plenty you can remove without causing any problem.
see what you can transfer to the sd card and also transfer any photos to your pc.
That should resolve most of your issues |

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and suffer from the same problem.
I googled it and a video from youtube came up.
Using the keypad you type a few things and a secret menu came up, you click one of the options and bingo job done
Really easy, kicking myself for not googling months n months ago, can now update my apps |

Ive got such a boner right now. I can add apps again all I need now is for the phone to decide now is a good time to download the available updates which I usually just swipe/delete due to the storage problem I HAD. |

You may be able to move apps to your sd card. Go to settings/applications and you may claw some memory. Android phones tend to categorise the storage on your phone as sd storage. The actual sd card is normally categorised as extSd |

I reset my phone. Spent ages ages emailing my photos to myself and writing down numbers only to have them all restore for me. What I did forget about were my One note notes. I'm hoping I won't need any of the information I had written on there |
