I had a heart attack at 32, I took up cycling, martial arts and running, I lost 5 stone over two years, yes the work is indeed worth it and you will feel pain, but still doesn't guarantee a shag on here I'm afraid. |

Best of luck to you.
If you're just starting then take some full body photos as a reminder of how you look now. It's a great way of tracking your progress as the camera doesn't lie
It's worth saying, though, that making sure your diet is healthy is more important than just doing exercise.
If you use Reddit then check out the /r/loseit subreddit, they have loads of really great advice and it's also good for keeping you motivated. |

Find something you love doing . . That's challenging . . And no . .not naughty stuff. . Ha . .find it . . And take it up as a hobby. While fitness is seen as a chore. . It'll always be a battle ! |

Aww good luck hun. I decided the same thing myself, cut out the crap and joined a gym for the first time in my life. Been to the gym and swam twice so far this week, I ache and I'm knackered but it's a great feeling. Hope you stick at it and achieve what you set out too xx |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Body brushing to ease off sore muscles. Use a body brush or even a nail brush with your shower gel, and give the sore areas a good scrub. Increases blood flow and helps repair.
As has been said, find something you enjoy. 5 years ago I was a size 24/26 and damn near 30 stone. This year I qualified as a gym instructor. It can be done.
Good luck |

I think that if you have a massive journey to make to reach your goal then it's wisest to make a succession of smaller incremental steps for most people. I don't know you obviously, nor your health issues.
Combined dietary and exercise changes seem to have longer lasting results than just one of them, based on research.
As long as the pain is just normal sustainable strain pain from unusual exertion then you should be fine. Progressively increase frequency and intensity of your activities.
And ensure you get good rest as you need to rebuild strength etc. |
