Waved my boy off this morning for him to see his dad for a few hours. Got out all the Xmas presents and wrapping paper that I bought yesterday and could I find the Sellotape?? Could I hell!!
So I chucked my shoes on and ran over the shop to get some, they've sold out! Came home, put away all the paper and gifts. Thought I'll watch a film online for a bit instead. Nope. Internet playing up!
Decided to watch something off my sky planner, nope. The sky box froze then wouldn't let me turn it back on!!
Went to look around a primary school at 11, got so much info to take in my brain was fried.
Little man got dropped back off to me at 1, his dad said he was complaining god arm hurt after they were playing piggy backs. Half hour later he still wasn't using his arm. Take him to minor injuries. Nurse said it's 'nursemaid elbow' look after a screaming child while she pops the tendon thingy back into place. Hang around 2 hours to see if he starts using his arm again. Finally make it home and now my phone charger is playing up!!!!

Swap ya.
Had a bad cough recently so not sleeping well for days. Was looking forward to catching up on some sleep today.
Got kids ready for school and one refused point blank to leave the house. Last time I carried him in in that state he had a meltdown at school and had to be restrained by two members of staff for 20 mins. He is only a little kid.
So I kept him and his brother home. Brother had a cold.
Cue non-stop fighting. I finally got sick of it around lunchtime and walked away when I shouldn't have.
Child 2 punched child 1 in the stomach straight after lunch.
Child who was mid-meltdown this morning refusing school, suddenly pipes up "why aren't we at school today?".
I actually burst into tears at this point.
(It probably doesn't look too bad written down but it's been like this for weeks now and it's only getting worse.) |

you know i think about you often - its tough enough bringing up children but when they have added extras thrown in - do you have help so you can just have some time for you before you pop xxx sending hugs |

Bit older. With autism. Both of 'em.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Christmas is a very rough time for autism. Change of routine. Too much excitement, too many lights and too noisy. School is chaos. Not pleasant for them.
The school Christmas play has pushed them over the edge I think. One only managed one song before being taken off stage, he was crawling around and jumping and making noises. Then he attacked the piano keys as he was escorted out the hall.
Was hard not to laugh tbh! Or you'd cry. Lol
One is furious at me for taking him to the opticians nearly two weeks ago now(!). So he refuses to go to sleep for me and husband has to do it. Except husband had his Xmas works do last night so I had to do it. It did not go well!
He stormed out his bedroom and final fell asleep on a pile of lego in the living room.

Aww bless him. Calpol fixes most things. I have it on standby for stuff like that if they wake in the night in pain again, just in case. Nothing like stumbling through the kitchen trying to find the bottle in the dark with a screaming child!
And thanks. |
