Just about everyone does it, it doesn't mean anything. I could possibly take it as they're not averse to affection during sex.

I pretty much always do it - usually xx or xxx. the intention is just to show that I'm being friendly/affectionate, nothing more than that really...

I struggle a bit, as I always put them on the end of messages on here, unless someone is getting irritating. It makes it tricky, though, when I am also sending a message to my stepbrother on facebook, as he nearly got one that was signed off,

I message just about everyone other than work emails with a 'x'. Blokes aswell, it dosent mean anything, if anything it means I dont hate you

Not sure if it's been mentioned on this thread. . But x no longer means anything due to overuse. I don't kiss my loved ones every time a talk to them. Can I chuck in another thought ? I Hear schoolgirls out and about saying 'i love you' to each and every friend. Is this diluting the word a bit ? They are just school mates. I really like the term. . But isn't it precious. . And reserved for personal and heartfelt occasions ?

For me, it means sod all.

Unless it's a text from the wife, in which case, it's a sure fire way of knowing if she's pissed off or not. 3 x's or more and I'm good. Any less. I'm fucked.
