I've noticed over the past few years that I get more well wishes on Facebook for birthdays and Christmas than actual cards popping through the letterbox, anybody else noticed this trend? |

I don't think Facebook is solely responsible, they haven't removed the option of posting cards. Sending messages electronically makes sense financially and it's more efficient.
However, my nan doesn't have an email account so she'll always get a birthday, Mother's Day and Christmas card. |

I never remember to send cards. The only people who get cards from me are my mum,my children and grandchildren. Everyone else is a Facebook greeting,it would have been nothing before I joined Facebook |

Family members and close friends always get handmade shitty cards from me it's much more personal than a shop bought card.
The rest of people I know, well I don't send them anything but a fb message, Sorry OP but I think you fall in that category but don't worry, most males do...including me.
Theres always a happy ending to stories like this thought, my parents just got the hang of Facebook so they get so happy when someone sends a them a birthday message, they don't know that Facebook tells people that it's their bday but who am I to break their heart like that. |

I love to write letters and make cards. I Wil use electronic forms too... But prefer traditional.
I have an online journal but love my proper hand written one x
So I think that maybe modern ways are... But I enjoy old ways too much x |
