negative attention

Do men (I say men as I've never experienced it from women or couples, although I'm sure it happens) want a message so badly that they don't care what the content? I've had some rude messages and when replying saying that not nice, the response is always "at least you replied"!! But its always followed by a block so I don't understand.
Doubt any of the forumite men can help as they all seem nice and polite… just wanted to get it off my chest lol |

I get these kind of messages regularly. Don't understand the point as I obviously won't ever meet with someone who's rude so not sure what they actually get out of it. |

It's clear that many yearn for some form of attention, and just like children if they can't get it in a positive manner, they're happy to get it by provoking.
Be it getting a simple wink or fab or a brief message, many just want attention and can't deal without it. |

I've heard this from females and couples. I have no idea what anyone sending a rude/nasty would hope to get out of it?
Unless they collect blocks?

I had one guys send me a really nasty message once he called me a fat cunt and that he hoped the next guy I met raped me 
this was because i hadn't replied to his last message
so i sent one back saying that i though his reply was a bit OOT
he replied back saying at least it got my attention now can we talk |

The reason is like pavlov's dog - when they get a reaction - they get a minute amount of adrenaline, this breaks down in your body into a chemical called andrenochrome, I think, and it's very addictive. They do it for the thrill. |

Yesterday I received "all the women on fab are slags, don't know why you think you are so special". This was his first message we hadn't chatted previously and I don't think there is anything in my profile to indicate I think I'm better than others! Lol. Needless to say he was blocked and reported and I didn't give him the negative attention he probably wanted. |

On the rare occasion I do email, if I dont get a repky my attitude is "meh" ... and "next!".
I say rare as so many choose not to repky for farious reasons. Each to their own, stopped letting it bother me years ago. |

Look up Malicious Communications Act. I'm fairly sure there's a wagging finger attached to the strong arm of the law on this one. |

Personally I didn't find it blunt.
Just wish some of the idiots would read the forums and take note of what people do and don't like. The kind of people that post seem intelligent, polite and chatty, which is why I use them. |

I don't know why you would get so upset about not getting a reply to a message they must be sitting waiting with baited breath for that little icon to pop up at the top of the screen and when it doesn't the rage builds and turns them into insecure knobs get a life if you don't get a reply it's not the end of the world |

It's like children who don't get enough attention. Eventually any attention is a good thing. Block, ignore and move on! Although sometimes a very sarcastic reply makes me feel better |
