What is a "Piker"?

************************

In the early nineteenth century, especially in the United States, turnpikes were being built everywhere as part of a revolution in transportation. Since it was not yet common for government to build such improvements, private companies often constructed them. Naturally, they did it for a profit, which they got by charging tolls on vehicles using their road. But if you were on foot, you didn't have to pay. People who walked from town to town to save the toll money were called 'pikers,' from the word "turnpike."

The saying rule of thumb came from many years ago when a man was legally allowed to beat his wife but not with anything wider than a thumb

Money for old rope came from the days of public hangings where they would go round after and sell bits of the nooses to the spectators for souvenirs

The "clinking" of glasses originated in the medieval days when wine was often spiked with poison as the sediment concealed it quite well. If a host wanted to prove that the wine wasn't poisoned, he would pour part of the guest's wine into his glass and drink it first. If the guest trusted his host he would just clink glasses when the host offered his glass for a sample. Hence the clinking of glasses has become a sign of trust, honesty and toast to good health.

Information in your brain travels at different speeds: The neurons in your brain are built differently, and information travels along them at different speeds. This is why sometimes you can recall information instantly, and sometimes it takes a little longer.

The saying ‘Money for old rope’ may have come from the selling of hanging rope but more likely comes from the fact that old rope was collected up, stripped by hand back to fibre and then re-spun into usable rope and sold.

Only 1% of human sperm is fertile, the other 99% is made up of blockers and killers.

Wyatt Earp was probably one of the first people to unwittingly discover that almost all animals have no concept of their own existence. He discovered that he could just walk into a herd of Buffalo and shoot them one by one where they stood, they had no fear of the gun noise and no concept of the fact that their herd mates were being killed and so they didn’t run away. He could then skin them, and load the skins onto wagons to take to town for sale.

If a woman gets fucked 300 times a year, with a 6 inch cock for 10 minutes at a stroke rate of 84 strokes per minute… that’s 840 inches per shag session. That’s almost 4 miles of cock per year! (Chance would be a fine thing LOL)

"dynamic climbing rope extends by between 30 and 70% when placed under load."

Dunno what ropes you climb with, but I think the one that stretches by 70% must have "elastic" in its description somewhere lol!!!
