At least this isn't the weekly thread seeking to clarify what professional means.
I generally feel it's inappropriate due to the number of stalker type issues to expect details of occupation. It allows easier tracking down for many jobs.
Some guys reveal their jobs by work gear, some uniforms on some of all genders.
Unemployed often feel they're looked down on, which is terrible.
Most personal info can be on a need to know basis. |

Well I enjoy knowing what people do for a living and I always ask at a face to face meet, it's part of the conversation to me. Equally I'm comfortable to tell them my profession but not the industry in which I work. However I wouldn't discuss my profession on an open forum. |
