Can a non support verify?
I've been told by a couple of people that they have left me some verification feedback - I can't see it but neither of them are supporters is that the problem?

If they have been verified themselves then they can leave a verification for someone else regardless of site support status
For it to show on your profile you need to display it that option is on your MY ACCOUNT page |

Support doesn't come into it but they do have to be verified themselves in order to verify you
If they are then get them to try again if it still fails talk to admin xx |

I read another thread similar to this the other day and when the person concerned got in touch with admin, they were told for some reason they shared the same ispn address/number as the person who was trying to vari them, this can apparently happens sometimes, so contact admin and explain your problem as this may be the same in your case |

"Hmm well I've verifiied them & apparently they've tried 3 times & not one has appeared in for me to see??
Hmm "
I would say they havnt verified you but are saying that have rather than saying they dont want to
If they have been verified themsleves they can verify you, ive verified loads of people and never had this peoblem, and every time someone has verified me it has come thro
The only time you can not verify someone is if the accounts have the saem IP address, this is to stop you setting up numerous accounts and verifying yourself |

That maybe used to be the case when IP addresses used to be "static" i.e. everyone had their own unique IP address.
Not all ISP's use "static" IP addresses so everytime you log onto your PC/router the IP address could be a different one to the time before.
So it is possible for 2 people to, at some point, share an IP address even although they are not in the same house. AOL seems to be one of the ISPs that does this. |

most domestic ip numbers are dynamic as far as i know. so yes you can have the number previously used by somebody else. the chances of somebody trying to leave you feedback inheriting your ip number must be tiny in the extreme. |

you can't share an ip number unless your on the same network (in the same house). if more than one customer had the same ip number at the same time the internet wouldn't work. be a bit like you having the same phone number as somebody else. |

they are like lottery numbers, they change, so it can happen, and as someone has said, AOL is famous for it, as for telephone i can remember when you did share lines, was like a chat line |

often when people visit us for the weekend they bring thier lappy and use our WIFI access so same IP but nothing "iffy" about it.
When we ran the B+B obviously loads of people used the free WIFI in the house so the IP coming up on many different members lappies would have been common but it has never seemed to cause a problem, Admin have never questioned our verifications or those we have given to others I guess they can spot fakes as well as most of us lol |

The old party line, haven't heard about them in years.
As for a static IP address, we have to pay extra for a static one as we need one for work. |
