Ever been in this situation? I was last night, out in town and everyone in the group plus everyone else was totally scolloped, watching the way d*unk men try to cop off with women dancing though was cringe worthy viewing, we really do look like twats on the dance floor |

It's some of the funniest viewing I've ever had.
I don't drink much so generally do the designated driver bit for nights out and people watching as they get more n more pissed is so funny sometimes. |

Fairly often as I rarely drink. I always find it great fun watching everyone else. Funny walk home too when my friends can't manage in their heels so end up walking back from town barefoot ! I've had to go and fetch one or two asleep on the pavement before. |

I do it every Fri & Sat night,it took a while to get used to dealing with pissed up arsehole who will letch on 5 different birds in say a he and get luck with usually a right fifty who is even more smashed.
Sad fuckers wouldn't stand a chance sober too.
The other thing is dealing with pissed aggresivr people who the next time you see them are really nice people so I bite my tongue sometimes and know some nice people who I started out wanting to strangle lol |

I don't drink (I can count the number of times I have been d*unk in my life on the fingers of one hand), so if I'm out anywhere where drinking is taking place, I am always among the few that are stone cold sober.
And it has never, ever bothered me.
I don't require alcohol to enjoy myself and I can not think of one thing that has been improved by the addition of alcohol - if anything, I find alcohol only makes things worse.

I quite often drive when I go out with friends. I'm too busy enjoying myself to take note of what's going on but the conversations in the queue for the ladies are interesting |

I was out last night at a gathering - a facebook group set up by a friend.
One of my new friends bought me a drink, bless him, he didn't know.
Mind you, when he offered it to me, and I politely said 'No thank you' his wife was quick to point out to him that I was driving, but I did also add that I don't drink.
Fortunately, there were others about who were drinking so it didn't go to waste.

I quite enjoy it occasionally, if with friends, you get to sit back and listen to and remember all the gossip that comes out
But in town on your own on a Friday or Saturday night it's just depressing...people get in such a state (and I know that's me as well sometimes) |

It gets old pretty quickly, I find. One of my vanilla friends is a liability when he's d*unk. He's a big lad and gets aggressive with people. For some reason he thinks I'm going to back him up. This isn't going to happen, so I don't see him much any more.
A TG that I know seems to be smashed every time she's out. The first time I saw her, I had to ask if she was with anyone. It's not pretty to see. I took her and her other half out to Pink Punters and had to tell her that if she got wrecked, she would end up having to find her own way home. |

See it all the time girls getting touched up when too d*unk to say no,even refused entry to one amazing looking girl who collapsed in my doorway a few months ago, some guy sexuslly assaulted her then I saw her again walking towards me so I went and spoke to her and had to get the police involved,I had to go the police station doing witness statement.
That's what happens when it really all goes wrong on a piss up |

I am kinda dreading the works do next weekend for just this reason.
I like intimacy in social situations these days, not raucous party nights.
I fear I burned all those candles in my 20's and early 30's and what once filled me with excitement now fills me with dread. |

When I found out I was pregnant it was 3 weeks before my good friends 40th birthday BBQ. I was the only stone cold sober person there. That was back when I was out getting bladdered every weekend. It was a bit of a shock to the system and the most awful night out EVER!!
Nowadays I don't drink much, haven't had a single drink since august where I've been healthy eating and working out. |
