What's with all the negative comments re Farage and Brands wealth?
Didn't 13 years of Nu-Labour provide equal opportunities for all.
Didn't Messiah Blair specifically endow a fund for some toe-rag off of a sink estate to go on, via education, education, education, to create a new political party and lead the Country to the promised land? What do you mean, no he didn't?

Considering how much media exposure they have and that until very recently they had less of a political presence than the almost totally ignored Green party I really don't see the supposed media bias against UKIP
And do you really not see why yet another example of Farage's casual sexism is news worthy? |

And you think that without that story the Sun would have the details of Parliament all over its front page,
As I said say no

I may have caught the story wrong - I apologise if I have - but where is the hypocrisy in Brand paying rent to a landlord (who is alleged to have dodged tax) via estate agents....?
I don't know if my landlord is squeaky clean either - nowt to do with me.
Reminds of that song, Ironic by Alanis Morrisette...which was anything but. |

so there's no difference between a media celebrity and a political parties leader who has such views about some mothers who choose to breastfeed discretely in public ?
doesn't legislation offer protection for discrimination against breast feeding mother, yes I think it does..

As i said on the other Brand/Farage thread taking the high profile principled view that he does on tax avoidance then he really should look into who he chooses to pay rent to.
Its not only the rent/Landlord issue though, he is also a hypocrite on his anti capitalist stance, he rages against it and then on the other hand he seems to enjoy capitalism seeing as how much wealth he has accumulated through it. |

On the other hand, the Tories, rump Labour and the Liberals must be loving all the coverage.
It takes attention away from their dreadful running of the country these last 17 years.

its 2014 not 1914, anyone who may be upset or think it inappropriate that a mother is feeding a child really needs to take a look at themselves..

The BBC does seem to have a left of centre agenda, no suprise really why they have tried to make Farage look bad from this, as the Sun newspaper has a right of centre agenda and is making Brand look bad. |

for someone who has no problem with it he maybe could or should have chosen his words better perhaps as he at best looks like he's indecisive ..
as for why its not been mentioned, well it should perhaps be a 'given' that a prospective MP and party leader in a modern democracy would not have a problem with it..yes?

Well, because, believe it or not some people find it revolting, it puts them off their food. sorry if that offends you. Same as some people on a swingers site who like to have sex with lots of people they don't realy know and are still offended by cock pics or open cunt pics. |

that women feeding babies should go and find a corner..?
I think most people will look at his comments and wonder what era he is from..
Yeah, he didn't exactly say it like that though, it was taken out of context by the bbc etc who are trying to make him look bad. Don't believe everything you read in the guardian or the bbc.
Hilda he quite clearly says that businesses could ask women to sit in the corner, its out there to see..
and only nigel has made nigel look bad (again)..
guardian, pah..
Whats wrong with sitting in a corner?
How about being told to sleep in the shed or the cellar?
Why should they sit in a corner?
Well, because, believe it or not some people find it revolting, it puts them off their food. sorry if that offends you. Same as some people on a swingers site who like to have sex with lots of people they don't realy know and are still offended by cock pics or open cunt pics."
If someone finds breast feeding revolting that is their problem and no one elses.
If someone has a a problem with 'cock or open cunt pics' what would your advise be to them? |

He said he didn't have a problem with it but it should be left to the business to decide if they wish to ask the lady to maybe move to a quieter location if they received complaints.
Personally most women would be discreet anyway but then there's always some that enjoy causing a fuss.
I hate legislation rules so I would be inclined to agree with him, I'm sure most business's would accommodate for customers anyhow. |

Some would say Brands Hypocrisy is Equally news worthy.
As i said on the other Brand/Farage thread taking the high profile principled view that he does on tax avoidance then he really should look into who he chooses to pay rent to.
Its not only the rent/Landlord issue though, he is also a hypocrite on his anti capitalist stance, he rages against it and then on the other hand he seems to enjoy capitalism seeing as how much wealth he has accumulated through it."
He pays rent to an estate agent - just like many people. Hypocrisy would infer he was somehow benefiting from paying rent.
And, the anti capitalist stance is a little more nuanced than what you're appearing to suggest. Ideals such as a fairer society, closing loopholes only open to the wealthy, highlighting issues concerning addiction, poverty... I'm not really one for hero worship, nonetheless, I can't help but respect such efforts by any man...as they suggest a certain level of decency.

So, if women can breatsfeed wherever and however they wish, why can't i have a wank with my pint?
"
Do you honestly think the 2 acts are comparable?
Or are you really sexualising a mother breastfeeding their baby? |

The BBC are a fine organistaion to commment on tax dodgers.
A couple yeras ago (maybe? tempus fugit and all that) when the story broke about Jimmy Carr's tax affairs, they did some analysis and determined that of 54,000 staff and talent that they remunerate, some 23,000 , yes, 23,000 recipients were on the same or similar tax avoiding schemes.

Honestly? No.
I'm not a rocket scientist either.
FWIW, personally i'd rather not see a mother breastfeeding in public.
May i now vote UKIP come next May? |
