volunteer work over christmas

been thinking of helping people over the holiday period.looking to work for the homeless etc.where do i start to look to offer my time?

I usually give lifts to the old people's party in a church near where i live....

So try a local church near you...

And then when you have that deserved drink after you've dropped the last person home.......you feel good !!!

I do voluntary work for several charities and i've just started a new one being a "friendly" All you have to do is spend a few hours of your time visiting elderly people that don't have any visitors or family. You just check they are OK or if they need or want any jobs doing etc.. Or just sit and chat with them. It's really quite humbling if honest!

How about not just Xmas being a Samaritan .? Xmas all holiday time its all go .. you have to do some training but if I can do it so could most people . Or local food bank .. Theres lots of different things salvation army do loads of good work around here .
