I'm doing broccoli and stilton soup to start, then a bird in a bird in a bird with all the trimmings. For dessert I'm going to do cheesecake so I can make it the day before. We'll also get an Xmas pudding incase anyone wants it. |

We're usually a goose family, with lots of chipolatas too. But this year it's a quiet Christmas day so we're off out to eat and since it's at an Italian restaurant I have no idea what I'm having - five courses of deliciousness but no details on what.
Boxing day is the big cooking day and I'll be doing poached salmon, a baked glazed ham with a variety of salads and new potatoes. One of my family does a great slow cooked brisket so that's been requested then I'll be making a trifle and we'll buy in something else for dessert. |

Burger and chips I expect. I (Stu) have to leave home just before lunch leaving Emily and the babies for when her older kids get back from their dads and drive north to see my daughters christmas day afternoon. So Emily will be doing dinner for the kids in the evening and my daughters mum is doing theirs lunchtime leaving me grabbing whatever I can from whichever shop is daft enough to open christmas day. (Theres always one) |

Once first serving lunch to my lovely 'oldies' I am invited to sit with them so maybe a coffee and mince pies as reward for my hard work |

My dad has not had a turkey Christmas dinner in 40 odd years. We have always celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve as my mum is Danish and I think the poor bloke is crying out for a proper English Christmas dinner lol |

I know, it's crap! Think I'll be successfully avoiding all turkey this year as my Christmas parties are at an Italian, a Chinese and a Mexican |

I hate turkey but my Mum and sister love it, so we buy the small ready to cook joints out of M&S. They get their plain old butter basted turkey and I get lovely stuffed, bacon topped chicken. None of us agree on veggies and trimmings either so usually end up making loads of different stuff. There'll be homemade soup for starter, I'm not a fan but they love it. Trimmings will include swede, peas (only 2 veggies Mum will eat), carrots (just for my sis) and broccoli for her and me, sprouts (but only for me), cauliflower cheese (my sisters new fave with a roast), Yorkshire puds (but not for Mum, they're evil apparently!!), spuds, (on Xmas I'm usually required to produce mashed as well as roasted as my Mum loves her spuds), and then we enter the cocktail sausage/pigs in blankets/bacon and cheese realm where all have to be produced or Xmas is ruined. It's planned with military precision as I have one oven with 3 shelves and 4 rings in the hob lol. Also, none of us like the same gravy either so I make 3 different types. |

Going to my daughters this year and no idea what we're having. We each produce a different course; my daughter does starters, my oldest son (a chef) does the main course, I do the cheese course and the youngest son is making a trifle. |
