How do you deal with it?

I thought I would be after no sex with my husband for a few years but when it came to it I was fine. It was with someone I knew from my teenage years and I had drank a few JDs. It was kissing him I wanted more than sex but once we started it was bloody amazing. I don't suffer nerves with men though

"What are you scared of hun? "

Not me personally. It's something I've been discussing with a recently divorced friend.

I've been nervous after a long spell without but I've not been panic stricken at the thought.

I think it's more performance anxiety. If you've come out of a long marriage to someone who wasn't interested in you sexually, I can see how you'd worry.

Hmmm maybe, it made me the opposite, but I can see how it might, lack of confidence sexually so to speak.

Well sex with a new partner, whether it be a new boyfriend/girlfriend or new fb on Fab will always be daunting. But the end of the day it still comes down to the same thing. Suck it, lick it, fuck it!!

Surely the other person can take that anxiety away communication is the key

I was very scared and nervous when I joined. When I was waiting for my first meet, to turn up, I was literally shaking. Luckily, he turned out to be a nice guy and subsequent meets have been good too. hope your friend will be ok

If you're scared of sex wouldn't it add to your overall excitement?

I don't know, but I guess I'm a face your fears kind of a guy.

Over-thinking it is probably the worst thing to do. You can talk yourself into all sorts of problems if given the chance.

I am not that bothered about sex really and can go long time without it, it prob will just last less than 2 min anyway. I go in with the mentality of quick in quick out and I have a glass of wine before to relax my nerves abit lol

Hate it.

32 and fear the next time if there is a next time, definitely feel i wouldnt last 10 seconds either which obviously put off any potential partners off

Every meet I get nervous. Will I live up to the other persons expectations, will I be considerate enough, will I be able to read and react to their every move. I overthink it too sometimes...

Brighton - even Hove!

I hadn't had sex for 2 years before I joined fab and when I got a meet with a couple, I was probably more nervous than anything but in my head I pretended I had sex with strangers all the time and sort of fooled myself in to relaxing and it worked. The meet went fine and I've not looked back.

the longer I go without sex the more confident and rampant I get and just want a lovely woman with a greedy pussy to give my cock and balls a good wringing out

never been scared of it but years ago - before really good had been discovered and i was with the ex i used to go through phases of thinking sex was silly - pointless - to the point i used to mock it - ive learnt the error of my ways

Same here but then the nerves easy and I relax. Have found that talking to people helps greatly as a single bloke.

I was the same as this. I hadn't had sex for a few years before and after the end of my marriage. I met an old friend and once we started, I wondered what I had been worried about.

I went for several years without for many reasons, but when it was time to jump back on the horse again I was terrified, mostly due to over thinking the whole thing. When I did do it in the end it was quite spontaneous so I had no time to panic and talk myself out of it again and I surprised myself at how naturally it came. Your friend needs to stop putting pressure on herself and just let it happen naturally, good luck to her xx

BARRY

I'm crapping myself!! Not literally, you understand, but nerves sometimes get the better of me. I tend to "give" even more than I usually do.

Not sure if that makes sense, but I'll put my hand up and say that I do get the nervousness ness ness.

That's what I thought until I had a great meet with a sexy lady no sex but my confidence grew ! My first on fab was a party ? Which I had great fun and a laugh at but no sex ? My choice lol

Then I meet a lady where the switch was a bit rusty and made a massive click lol !! And our first time was just so natural and of course I held off the sex for as long as I could just incase it all went too quick ? But even that was amazing ! So I think it doesn't matter how long you go without ? It's the tempo of which you have the fun ! Slower the better first time back

Up on them there hills

Mmm, interesting belief, just look past it by asking yourself, 'what would happen if you did have sex?'

Should loosen it up a little.
