To put the fluffy underblanket on and the flannelette sheets - the sheets were really cold against my skin when I got into bed last night

Mind you the bedroom window is still open and will be staying open at night no matter what the weather.

Has your leccy blanket been on the bed since September? Or are you toughing it out?

Oh, and yup, I posted it in the wrong forum earlier

I like to sleep naked for as long as possible but last night I got rather chilly just getting into bed.

I think I need a bed warmer

Fancy popping round every night for half an hour Deano?

Come off it TD, you're a northerner(ish), we don't have leccy blankets and we're old enough for the hot flushes to keep us warm...I'm cheesed off cos I'm in York n can only get the window open 3 inches...at Arse End it's wide open all year round too

Oi! It's just a fluffy underblanket, I'm too Yorkshire to have one that plugs into the mains and adds to my leccy bill!

That won't heat the whole bed!

Nah, the underblanket and the flannelette mean the bed won't feel so cold when I get in.

I'll let you off the leccy blanket then but fluffy blankets smack of Southern Soft Shandyitis

Hereabouts

I've had my electric blanket on since September! I'm ashamed to say I'm a wuss. They say once a northerner, always a northerner, but I was snatched away at a young age, so southern wussyness was drilled into me!

Titz Towers, North Notts

I chuck a wheat bag in the microwave, then let that warm my bed whilst I brush my teeth, howl at the moon and pull faces at the Hamsters.

I haven't seen an electric blanket in years, we have this amazing new invention, it's called central heating

no matter

Love my cold sheets.. I shuffle from side to side just to lie in the cold bit. window open all year, must take up the thermometer see how cold it gets .. Years ago when I slept with OH we had a heated waterbed nigtie to the neck, was always cold.

I think if you are chilled to the bone from work you need to have a warm bed.

I struggle to sleep in a warm room, the radiator in the bedroom is turned down low and I like the window open when I'm in bed - I like the room cool and me toasty warm under the covers.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I don't have a 'leccy blanket or a fluffy cover thingy.

I've still got a 4 tog duvet on the bed too.

I might have the 9 tog duvet on by now if I could be arsed to get it down from the loft, but probably not.

...Up on the Downs

Get a memory foam mattress - you'll never have a cold bed again!

I hate being too hot in bed so no electric blankets here! Just a good old duvet and a blanket on top if it's got below freezing.

It's just turning cold down here. I got into my fwb bed last week and the sheets were so cold they felt wet. Soon warmed them up though

I'm a Southern lass and I don't do leccy blankets - I love to get into a cold bed - it might have been the freezing cold winters we had with 6ft of snow outside and inches of ice on the insides of the windows when I grew up that's made me so hardened
