I never ever go to the works Christmas do, some of the people i work with are nice and i do see them out of work but most i dont wish to socialise with so its a waste of time and money for me especially as its such a busy time of year |

We both have dinners and neither of our employers allow you to bring you significant other.
Mine mid afternoon, basically a sit down lunch then back to work. |

In the 7 years I've worked for this company I've never been to a works Xmas do.
We work on our own a lot of the time, although we do bump into each other quite frequently, but I never see anyone from work in my social life, so I cant see the point. |

I went to my friend's works Christmas do on Saturday (she's the boss so can invite who she wants ) and had a great night. I offered to be the driver though so she and her OH could have a drink.
It was fine being the non-drinker, I got to see some alcohol triggered silliness and since it was all over by midnight I didn't feel like I was kept up too late while everyone around me got hammered.
And if it's you're own works do you'll at least be certain of what you did and didn't say and do! |
