Maybe she needs to delete and reinstall it. I've never had that problem with mine....

The format might mean the video is too large a file size. Try converting it to a compressed format?

I've done it on QuickTime on my laptop before now and synced the video back to my phone to send. There are probably online conversion programmes or apps as well. 3gp and mp4 format seem to work on my phone (I've got an Android phone if that helps).

Basically if its more than 10 seconds it needs to be VERY small screen and piss poor quality to be within the file size limit.

I tend to upload mine to an app like

Dropbox then send a link to it there, rather than send the actual video file x

Just been on google and searched for an answer to this. From what Ive read whatsapp does not compress video no matter what phone you have. You have to use a video convertor to convert and change the video to a far smaller resolution/format (drastically reducing the quality) youll notice if you record a video using whatsapp the video is shit quality, thats what you have to change larger videos to. A better option is use KIK and download VIDEOKIK along side it. The person your sending the video to doesnt need VIDEOKIK to receive it, only KIK
