One that deserved being cut.

What I mean is I would hate to break into someones marvellous creation that looks out of this world.

Hope that makes sence? I wrote it so it's doubtful

Says, he prepares the oranges himself, usually find a few mandarin tins in the bin though.

Think it's the whipping action that makes it - the more air, the stiffer it gets.

HA I was going to say black forest gateaux!! Tiny bit of brandy in the cream, and the best maroschino cherries I can find, soak them in a mix of spiced rum and cherry brandy (cherry brandy on its own is too sickly), then use that as a drizzle over the sponge. And use the best cocoa possible.

I might like boozy cakes

Allow me to be a twat for a moment and upset a few homies.

I don't think Clandestine Cake Club are looking for a 'cheesecake', I think the members are looking for the traditional stuff made with flour, eggs, milk, and butter/lard.

Yep Im sure cheesecakes are allowed but I dont think Edith and Judith will appriciate it.

I bought one from a farm shop in Congleton a few weeks ago.

The nicest cake I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a few )

In fact, I liked it so much that 2 weeks later I made the 50/60 mile round trip purely to buy 2 more
