this is more or less what my ex did regularly - off to the pub he trotted - kids already in bed - heating switched off on his way out as he assumed id be in bed soon -

little did he know when he went away we used to put it on full -- used the dishwasher unnecessarily - dry clothes on the radiators (he used to hate this but also hated damp clothes on the airer- errr 4 of us here) - oh i could go on
