I've stayed up late watching a documentary on the NHS made by doctors when someone sent me the link.
I thought I had a general idea of what was going on but it turns out that I only knew the tip of the iceberg. I know a swingers forum probably isn't the best arena but it might help to spread awareness.
I've been left quite flabbergasted.
It's called Sell Off and here's the link.

You only get told what politicians and media want you to believe.
All public sector work has a shockingly different side to it than we believe I imagine. |

"its no secret the tories want to sell off the nhs to there rich chums and if they get in next yr this is what they will be doing"
Interesting that you seem to know this. I can't find any factual information about it other than allegations with no basis on facts. |

Don't want to bring up the referendum, but have to in the passing.
We were told that the only way to gaurantee the safety of the nhs, was to stay in the union.
The day after the No vote, labour turned around and said it was in a dangerous state and about to be sold off, and that we needed to vote for them to save it.
Only this week lockheed matrin have bought into it, i don't think they will be doing that as a non profit organisation thing. |

RE: leaving the EU.
The main reason they want to leave the EU is because the Eu wants to investigate/block bankers bonuses, and are investigating the UK for it's treatment of the disabled for violation of the human rights.
During the referendum (i know, we lost, sorry for bringing it up) one of the leading academics pointed out how bad it could be for the RUK if scotland went its own way. However, at the end of the report (that was missed out in the media) he went on to say that the bigger threat lay with the UK leaving the Eu and that it would be devastating.
He went into details why, and they seemed quite plausible. |

Strange don't you think that every time there is a crisis, the gov says if we elect them in next elections they will sort this and that and make the NHS better but in actual fact they might increase funding for one department but make cuts in another. Its all swings and round abouts but all the time they are all in BUPA so it matters not to those in Parliament. cut the free meals and drinks subsidies in Parliament and watch them scream. who else gets their fuel free and transport free to get to work and then happily put down those who find it hard to get the fuel money to get to work. |

Maybe a good starting point for sorting out the NHS would be to charge BUPA and other private health care companies for the full cost of emergency and follow up treatment when their operations go wrong rather than have the NHS clean up the messes they leave behind them...
Or is that a little too radical? |

lord John Patten (investment banker, life peer, ex-secretary of state for education, ex-minister of state for home affairs, ex-minister of state for housing) is Non-executive Director, Lockheed Martin Holdings UK Ltd (wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, a global security company) and is also a substancial shareholder ..... and i haven't even started looking properly at the list of parliamentary interests properly yet.

Recent BMJ research shows that a third of new NHS contracts have been awarded to the private sector. This has been kept from the public. Many patients are not aware that the NHS facilities they are using are in fact for-profit as the companies in question are entitled to use NHS logos and branding and, like the government have no obligation to inform patients.
The way this has all been ushered in by the backdoor is disgraceful. |

"UKIP also want to privatise it.
Their anti Europe stance at least has some merit as does (though even less so IMO) their anti immigration stance.
This and most of their other policies do not.
"
No UKIP don't want to privatise the NHS, read todays Independent online. |

Naive. Whatever farage may write his more prominent colleagues and policy makers are all for privatisation.
Also, note carefully farages wording. He only talks about free nhs at the point of access. You'll be ok at a and e but there will be a huge number of things beyond that to pay for. |
