Are they warm at the bottom? If they are, you only need to bleed them.

Boilers normally have two options. One for just hot water and another for the rads. Make sure it's on the right setting

I'll take it for granted that you've done the common sense things ie stats bleeding..!!!.

It's more than likely your zone control valve. You won't be able to fix it you will have to get somebody in but... You can by pass it as there is a little lever on the side you can manually start in with.

First of all is it a combi boiler, if it is check the pressure on it, it could want bleeding, there should be a bleed valve at the bottom of the boiler, and the pressure should be no more than 1 bar

Have you not just lost pressure? I called somebody out for that's same problem and he charge me 50 just to turn something that increased the pressure? Put a meet up for a plumber?? I had a plumber come out from here to fix my bath,, and he didn't even want anything in return

it wouldn't produce hot water if it has no pressure.

.. It should be 1½ bar as that is what your pressure vessel is set too

.

You might be in a low water pressure area (only able to get 1 bar) in which case he would have taken the pressure down in your pressure vessel.

They come bought as standard in either 1½ bar or 2 bar.

Well I thought it was sensible to try other things first save having to use the emergency service and making somebody come out. Sorry, I didnt realise that a post about a boiler would piss you off!!!

combi or back boiler? bleeding or flushing if the heating has been off most of the summer is common, so is the low pressure filler loop needing filling, fill to 2 bar and if it only wants 1 bar then the blow off overflow will sort its self anyway on a combi
