I know more about what I don't like than what I do, if that makes sense.
I love Cezanne's landscapes, but not his other work; but can't explain why.
(I also love your profile pics!) |

"I like a lotdof modern art, my favourite artists are The Chapman Brothers"
I'm more aural than visual but I went to the retrospective of theirs at the Sackler near the Serpentine. Bloody brilliant. |

I can appreciate art but I'm far from thinking I'm an art intellectual i.e. I'm not one of those who can stare at a piece of totally white canvas and speculate as to the emotions of the artist as he / she constructed the piece, or find a deep philosophical meaning in a pile of old socks or whatever.
If I like it, I like it. If I don't, I don't. Simples. |

I mostly specialise in gender interpretations of modern art and gender issues surrounding female artists in the 20th Century.
But my thesis next year is going to be on the display of new media in an art institution setting - specifically video games. And then my disseration is on the representation of female iconography in video games and the cultural and counter-cultural debate surrounding those depictions of women and what that can tell us about society. |

I am a poet and an artist's daughter. I absolutely adore art in all its offerings.
It is what life represents. |

I like Abstract Art.
I mean REALLY abstract.
Has to be DIFFERENT..unusual..almost fucking weird.
I've got a picture that I bought off a Tramp once called "the 3 kings".
It spooks my Mum right out which is enough to keep her out of my house. |

Don't forget about the elephant in the room i.e. issues of female representation in advertising This is what much of my work deals with, at least obliquely. I also consider my involvement in swinging to be part of my art aswell. I guess, to some, I'm one of those annoying artists you'd need to read an essay on in order to understand what I'm trying to do... but I like artworks which have multiple dimensions to them... like films that keep on twisting your head around... so that's why I make stuff like this |

Alas - they only give me 10k words for my dissertation! I'm struggling to make it specialist enough as it is! |

Is 10K, the absolute limit and do they stop reading/marking at that point or are you able to go over? Most dissertations have a set minimum, rather than than a set maximum.
What's your time-line?
Tank Girl
Current collector of Helmut Newton, Bob Carlos Clarke, Alex Echo, Louis Sidoli, colds and little field mice coming in from the cold. |

10k and they stop reading - our course is strict because journals and book publishers are strict!
I start writing my 10k dissertation at the end of next term and it'll take me a year. But I've had my proposal accepted in the last few weeks because I'll need to put some stuff before the university ethics committee before I start. |

Welcome, I've studied your pics closely.... Just waiting for the swelling to go down ... The double dildo one nearly made me cum on the spot mmmm..... Love art from michaelangelo to Dhali, particularly impressed by sculpture, to hew something so beautiful from a lump of marble is a God given gift I think. Just been to turners house in suffolk, he was pretty handy lol. Oh and in Rome recently, visited Raphael's tomb, felt very humble. |
