"putting petrol in my diesel van ..thankfully not too much"
Add about 250ml of two stroke oil to the fuel to stop the solvents in the petrol damaging your high pressure pump bearings. Even a little petrol in a diesel tank can cause long term damage. |

That's modern diesels for you... A few years ago you would put some petrol in with the diesel to stop it sludging up in winter... |

Somewhere in North Norfolk |
Not stupid but a bit cack-handed - I broke 2 drill bits and 4 saw blades in silversmithing class tonight.
Ok, the drill bits were 1mm and tend to break if you look at them wrong and the saw blades are also really fine but I'm not usually quite so destructive. |

Given its age it's more likely to need it since they stopped putting sulphur in diesel fuel. The sulphur acted as a lubricant for the diesel pump(s).
It's a good idea to add a little two stroke oil to any diesel car every three or four tanks anyway, it helps keep the fuel system in good shape. It won't damage anything either (cats, DPF, EGR, swirl flaps etc). |

I bought some saw blades from a different supplier than normal and they were just rubbish, snapped in about 3 strokes, drove me mad. I was using 0.8mm silver sheet which isnt exactly hard to cut. I stick to Vallorbe 4/0 now |

Preoccupied I tripped over a ladder and knocked a picture off my wall while hurting my wrist.

I sat next to actor Francis Magee on a plane from Casablanca and I knew he was an actor but could not place him.
I asked him was he in the full Monty he laughed and said no and then we had a beer or two and discussed what he had done. |
