Often i,ve heard of women stating that either there success or interlect is intimidating to men, thus harder to get dates....

Can it also be equal in reverse??

Do you mean that the less intelligent or successful a woman is the more approachable men will find her? Or women find successful and intelligent men unapproachable?

Ditto. And the guys I meet often comment about liking to meet intelligent women (though it doesn't necessarily mean that they have to have a certain level of education).

Let's be honest there are some very low IQ's in the world for both sexes and, whilst I'm more interested in someone's soul than their IQ, it's nice to know you can have a conversation, if you get time between fucking that is

If a woman is genuinely intellectual that's cool..I'm not..opposites attract and all that shit.

BUT...

if a woman uses long words and tries to be intellectual just for the sheer point of MAKING A POINT about being intellectual than that's annoying as fuck and puts me right off.

I think people of both sexes find success and/or intelligence attractive.

The problem is that a lot of men's egos cannot accept a partner who is more so. I personally am happy to be with a woman who beats me hands down. I have no need to be better, as long as we form a balanced whole.

I do get a little intimidated by beauty, but that is my insecurities coming through.

Yes I do. Some men can be intimidated and have (performance) issues that can affect the interactions.

Men often need to feel an equal in some aspects or they can feel 'unmanned'.

Fortunately I am too smugbto suffer from this

Why should clever women not use big words or intelligent conversation for fear of appearing up themselves to someone who's not so clever

Do women with good body's have to wear baggy clothes while around the not so fit?

Should the pretty faced ones put a bad on their head while hanging around with the facially challenged.

It is what it is, I quite like a woman with a bit of ostentation. It's more of a challenge

I,m not blessed with good grammar skills.

Whether on this, mobile or social websites constantley being pulled up on it.

To begin with I embraced it in a fun way and it did' nt bug me.

Now I see it as a form of belittling and bullying......

Petty on my part I know.... But just the way I see it.....

I can see how oustrasiced people with dyslexia and similar conditions feel..... The constant fear of strangers preying on the weakness not being aware of the distress it may cause.

'I think people of both sexes find success and/or intelligence attractive.'

Honestly, I really couldn't care either way.

If I spot someone across a crowded room, their intelligence, or undisclosed successfulness, is meaningless. Which means, that ultimately, it's them that you find attractive. Personality might seal the deal, when it comes to the difference between a one nighter or the beginnings of a new relationship.

One of my long term partners had a PHD in chemistry and is now a cancer research scientist. She was extremely intelligent in the area's that she had an interest in, but lacked common sense or even a wider general knowledge of most other things. But hell, she was gorgeous and we clicked where it mattered. But I can tell you now that her intelligence or even success, didn't mean a god-damn thing.

I'm with you both on this. I think the kind of men we like are usually confident and not easily intimidated by either men or women. I couldn't respect a man who found me intimidating. But a one off romp with a young hottie who is totally in awe of me now and again wouldn't go amiss !
