"Could walk free today. His lawyer claims the prosecutions witnesses unreliable.
It will be a sad day if his bride's family do not see justice take place, whether he is guilty or not."
If he's not guilty then justice will have been done in part. |

I feel for the family.
But our justice system is based on innocent until proven guilty. If witnesses are unreliable or there's insufficient evidence to prove guilt then he is assumed to be innocent.
If you start changing the rules then you're setting a very dangerous precedent.

The trial is taking place in South Africa, so not our justice system but similar. I too feel for the family, hence my post. |
