We have a family day out to delemere Forrest on the second Sunday of December to get our tree, quite a few miles away mind but always reminds me of the Griswalds going to get there's, although the trees are already cut down for us to pick, probably about 25 miles away from ours, anyone go further or settle for B&Q or any other local garden centre? |

I went as far as the kitchen and ordered my first real Christmas tree. In a fortnight I have to hope I have room for a 7ft tree and the kittens and kids leave it alone.
What do I need to put it up when it gets here? |

Cupboard in the spare room, I can't be doing with a real tree and besides as my kids are grown up, I no-longer decorate the house as I did when they were small plus I often work Christmas Day too |

Cut an inch off the trunk (bottom) then put it in a stand that holds water, if it's a Norwegian spruce which is what we get it shouldn't drop too many needles of the Xmas period, just remember to keep the water topped up. |

Well if the pour the water from the top of the tree yes, but I usually pour it straight in to the stand, never heard of anyone being shocked from watering their Xmas tree, well round here anyway. |
