little house on the praire

I've always been put of Thai food as I don't like lemon grass and assumed it was in everything.

Went for a Thai meal the other night had chicken and sweet corn soup duck in tamarind sauce and chow mein noodles. Bloody gorgeous the duck was just superb so looks like I found a new favourite food and no lemongrass in sight

Pad Thai is also very good and invariably doesn't have lemongrass in it

lemongrass is the spawn of the devil, many a tasty sounding dish ruined by the addition of this horrible taste!

There is a market cafe in Pontypridd, south Wales, that serves Thai food as well as all the normal stuff you expect in a market cafe. Bloody gorgeous, all home cooked.

Durham Tees

I ate an absolutely delicious Thai. Then when she went to the bathroom I ate her equally delicious friend. No Lemongrass with either.

Home cooked......then brought to the cafe presumably.......wouldn't it just be easier to cook it IN the cafe and save all that travelling......or do they live quite close by ?

Would take you out and treat you to one sometime if you fancy it?

Any good Thai restaurants near you in Chester? There is a great one in Cannock.

Just made Thai green curry and as a non lemon grass fan, used only half the quantity, still overpowering Lesson learnt, next time I am using even less and maybe not at all. Made a double batch too
