Why oh why havent the power ever got the credit he totally deserves! By never winning sports personality and being knighted? How many people do you know more or less bring a working class game to a multimillion pound bussiness? Plus the fact hes still doing it and made the game appealing to all young players!! IT Beats me! |

Obviously know nothing about darts in previous posts. How many of them can perform in front of cameras with millions watching and in front of thousands on a live stage with lights on you. Know some people think they could but reality is a different mistress. Prove your worth then knock it. |

Yeh yeh we all know its not a sport its a pub game as said before they used to get pissed to play. Amazingly enough there are rather a high number of people in this world who have no problem performing in front of an audience. I think its obvious you are lacking in public performance knowledge. |

Just googled and its correct
Phil Taylor was in fact awarded an MBE in 2001, but it was later annulled after his conviction for indecent assault, resulting in a fine of £2000.
So its rather grubby anyone thinking a guy who is a predator who has no respect for women should get an award.  |

Probably the best midweek/school night out I have ever had.
Couldnt tell you who beat who but the atmosphere is superb.
£20 a ticket approx for Premier League Darts, get a group of you to go, great laugh  |

Obviously you have never rode a bike and certainly not competitively next you will be saying the likes of Lewis Hamilton exerts no physical energy and there is no reason for him to be as fit as he is. |

but isn't darts just in effect a form of archery or like in effect pistol shooting....... and no one questions those as a sport....
but people have this knack of picking on darts..... where there are other sports that dont have the physical exhertions....
sure... motor racing must be hell sitting in those hot conditions.... but thats the reason for having to be physically fit.... not the actual activity itself..... he would be as quick in a rally car... or in a nascar for example..... |

If you need to practice it to improve your skills then it can be a sport.
Thats how I look at it.
They reckon they spend 3-4 hours each day practicing.
If it wasnt for the fitness regiemes racing drivers and jockeys put it I wouldnt class it as a sport. |

I dont suppose you exert yourself a lot when doing air rifle shooting, but thats an Olympic sport.
I see darts as a pub game, rather than a sport, much like dominoes or pool or shove ha'penny |
