Duck face pics, I think the idea is that the lady (and it's mostly ladies) is supposed to be blowing a kiss or maybe pouting.
I guess the intention is to look alluring or provocative. It doesn't work looks odd in most of the ones I have seen.
Don't see it so much on fab cos pictures are often of other areas but I've noticed on other dating sites you see it a lot.
Peoples thoughts on this

It does look comical like they are doing a Donald duck impression this just isn't sexy.

They also put a lot of thought into the 'pre night lineup' shot.
