Worst gift was nothing. My ex husband never bought me a Christmas gift ever.
Best gift is anything from my daughter. 2 years ago she had put together a box of things she'd made as her dad refused to take her shopping for anything for me. All of it highly pointless but I treasure everything in it |

My mother in law always buys me kitchen implements. So far I've had a
Pizza cutter
A round baking tray for pizzas
A chopping board
A parasan grater
Tea towels
I am waiting with baited breath as to what piece of shit she'll give me this year.

A wicker sewing box - worst.
Best - A pair of earrings from my father - didn't know it at the time but it was his last present to me ....... he died in the January. |

Worst: my ex mother in law bought me slippers every year without fail. Problem being they were always a couple of sizes too small, and of the type that I'd probably break my neck in coming down the stairs (I only wear full boot type slippers that won't just fall off at an inopportune moment)
Best: probably the earrings I got from my children last year. They were 5 and 6 then and said they wanted to get me something. So I gave them some money and pointed them in the direction of a jewellery display in a cute little vintage type shop, the sales assistant helped them choose something that didn't cost more than they had but other than that it was entirely their choice and they both agreed which was a first lol. When I opened them on Christmas morning they were so beautiful |

Best was a new memory box, to put all my bits of useless but precious things in. Cinema tickets, home-made cards, memories of holidays etc. From my hubby.
Worst...mother-in-law strikes again.
She gave me the soaps and bubbles set that we gave her as one of her gifts the year before! Even in the same wrapping paper, just swapped the tag!
Words failed me!
