We were at the Bovington Tank Museum a few weeks ago and they were setting up a display about this film.

I think they used the museums Tiger tank and maybe a Sherman.

May go and have a look to see.

"Brilliant film saw it last night, it is a good film."

I never expected it to end the way it did. Pitt was really good. I was surprised that Shia LeBeof can act!

Its watching things like this that makes me wonder how I would have coped in WWII. I have a feeling I would have been curled up in a ball somewhere sobbing.

Brighton - even Hove!

Strange that you should ask how you might have coped in WW2, as I was thinking the same thing the other day. I read a book about this Prisoner of War who escaped and got caught again and how how fucking terrified he was. The guy was called Richard Pape.

The guy who trained me as a baker was a Polish Jew who had survived the concentration camps. I had nothing but respect for him. He would tell me about his experiences in the war and in the camps. Absolutely horrifying

I can imagine. I don't think anyone who didn't experience the totalitarian regime and it's machinations could comprehend how scary it must have been. I suppose the next world war will be nukes and the one after that, bows and arrows.
