Job centres have banned the advertising of lapdancing, pole dancing and topless bar maids. Is this a good idea.

i'd like to know...what is the reason for suddenly banning these type of jobs being advertised when it was OK before?

.

Friend of mine who has worked in Care situations went to the job centre the other week and was offered a job accompanying people on holidays and nights away. She was asked if she had any problems doing this and as a single lady said no.

She rang the number, was asked her age, if she was happy to stat away, again she said no.

She was informed that the pay was £100 per night for the 'basics'.

She realised this was not 'care' but 'CARE'.

The job centre said they had no idea that the company involved was an Escort Agency.

And before you ask, no she didn't take the job, but yes, she still has the number

The sex industry is a multi billion industry so why not advertise the only industry going up in the recession.

ooooh... i actually know the answer to this.....

there was a ban of employers in the sex industry being able to offer jobs in the job centre.... Ann summers when they were expanding were told they couldn't, and they challenged the ban..... and won

obviously challenging the ban based on them not being in the sex industry and being a high street reputable business of course, but after they won they scrapped that part of the ban anyway....

just so that you are aware... they are allowed to still advertise for cleaners, or clothes barstaff to work in these places in job centres.... just the actual jobs in which nudity is involved.....

The Tories are on payback with the church for support leading up to and during the general election, this is just the start.....
