Not sure what you mean OP, its a bit vague but maybe the following bit of wisdom helps.
I always find its better to do something, even if its wrong than nothing at all.
At least that way you dont regret doing nothing at all, ok you may do something and get it wrong but at least you tried. |

If you're dicking around doing the wrong shit and letting something slip through your fingers it might mean you are ambivalent about the slippy thing.
Work out what you actually want - a handful of something or just shit.
