I have given up making long term plans because life changes at the drop of a hat
I'll plan things a few weeks before we go anywhere these days,it's easier |

It depends normally I will book summer and winter early but this year with all the issues winter in Egypt is off the cards so it will be the week before and hope i get some place decent. |

I have long term multi year expectations that are outline plans. I do most holiday bookings at the last minute, due to stuff going on and eagerness to pay over the odds. Just booked my winter overseas trip, for 4weeks time, so I'm a bit of a mix.
Went to oz and Hong Kong in Sept which I booked 3 or 4 days before.
I like the spontaneity of finding some free time, and booking something that meets my needs there and then and just going. I've turned up at Heathrow, booked and flown a few times, but try usually to have more planning time.
Some hold are great to have a long period of anticipation and excitement before them though. |

"Nothing booked so far which is unusual for us!
Thinking of La Mirage in the new year followed by west coast states later in the year.
Might get an Amsterdam trip in April/May"
Considering a holiday near basildon |

I've been comparing prices of seaside hols for either may half term or first week of the summer holidays next year. Cheaper to go in May of course but we did that this year and by halfway through the summer holidays it seemed like forever ago that we went away. |

"How did you get the visa for Oz in 3 days? I'm curious as I'm planning a trip there.
It only takes a day to process,as long as you've got a new electronic passport."
Right. Not due a new passport for a while so I'll have to apply for the visa earlier. |

I book my annual trip to the spa when I'm there (are you coming over for the day again next year Diamonds?) and generally I book hols abroad quite a while in advance. I'm off to Iceland (the country, not the freezer shop) next month and I booked it around August time |

Usually about 3 months ahead at most.
Currently have a week in Gran Canaria booked in 2 weeks time, a few days in Marbella between xmas and new year. Weekend in Berlin mid January and weekend in Lisbon at the end of Jan...
Think thats enough for now |
