I know it's really sad and despite being terrified of the dentist, I'm just on my way for root canal treatment. I keep giggling stupidly on the train because my appointment is at 2.30pm.

aww i feel for ya.. if i'd have known sooner, i'd have recommended you got the GP to prescribe you 2 valium - one for the night before and one in the morning.
i'm having 2 wisdom teeth out tomorrow at the hospital, and i'm shitting a brick. tho i am looking forward to being sedated.. so, mixed emotions there

I dont mind the dentist, my one is lovely. Ive had root canal with her and had wisdom teeth out and not really had any pain from them.
I have a friend who is a dentist and he reckons women are better at extractions, as they use technique more than brute force! |

I won't have a female dentist near me...their lack of strength causes serious problems when they have 4 or 5 attempts at extractions...I find the lack of a complaint service within dentistry totally outrageous!  |

Hope you got on ok. I have a bad phobia. I had to go for the first time in years about 2 weeks ago, for my compensation claim. I was a muppet and actually burst into tears lol. That was before she touched my teeth. |

It all went reasonably well. One panicking attack and one hour later and I was sent on my way not being able to feel whether I was dribbling down my chin or not and, after deciding to treat myself to some lingerie to cheer me up, not being able to ask the shop assistant if they had the bra in my size |

One of my wisdom extractions he stopped after a while and asked if I needed a break as it was quite a struggle, said I was fine and he replied that he did lol another one was out before I'd even noticed  |
