Titz Towers, North Notts

Just so you can jump when the head pops into view on that boat. My dad snuck up behind me when I watched it for the first time and grabbed me when that happened. I jumped a ruddy mile.

I bloomin loved Munich.

It's awesome well acted, great script, well directed and done in fantastically fair manner to the subject.

When swimming in deep ocean, is it just me or does anyone else hear in their mind the two tone base notes played in the Jaws theme? Scary stuff and no logic in it at all. Just the power of music, film and imagination I guess? Swimming in the sea has never quite been the same since the original film was released and I was just a kid back then. Powerful stuff.

I hate even paddling in the sea let alone swimming in it. And all thanks to that movie.

When I first saw it as a very small boy, I refused to get in the bath for days afterwards.

Now that's the power of a great movie.

Raiders of the lost arc

Close encounters

Schindler's list

Colour purple

Empire of the sun

ET

Lincoln

... You could even say the sound to saving private Ryan

Close Encounters.

Along with Jaws, another one of those watched scores of times. Quite thought provoking really. Seen it loads of times. Never met an alien but had the odd close encounter on here lol

"I've never seen it

You haven't missed much. Don't think I have ever seen such a poorly acted film with such an obviously rubber fake shark in my life....unless you include the old batman and robin episode when a shark was on batmans leg as he hung from the bat copter and had to get the aerosol shark repellant from robin.

No, actually that was more convincing!
