"Birmingham has the biggest one outside Germany, started building it yesterday"
I thought Manchester's was the biggest? I went around Birmingham's last year, plus I was in Manchester for a job for three months directly overlooking theirs! |

"Not sure if it counts, but the Winter Wonderland market in London was brilliant last year. Madly busy though. "
I'm going back to the Borough market before Christmas hits for a shopping expedition. That place is bloody marvelous and is one thing missing from up here in Nottingham |

The one in Brum always used to be good (not been for a good few years) and is one of the few things I miss about Birmingham.
Hyde Park is crap from a market point of view but we went last year and enjoyed the fair and circus! |

Manchester's German Markets are great! I was intending to arrange a social there at the end of the month but - as someone pointed out - it get's incredibly busy and a large group of people would never be able to walk round together! xx |

I find that with Manchester's German market. It's good but not a patch on the real thing.
And yes I've been to both at Christmas. |

Our council don't really have one, they just allow beer and food stalls, with a couple of gift stalls in the precinct. they block off nearly all the seats so nowhere to sit apart from the stalls if you buy their food |

Like others have said, Bath's Christmas Market is really good and a lovely place to visit. There is so much to see, brilliant shopping plus the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Also has a fantastic spa, one of my favourites.
Worcester has a smaller one, but a lovely atmosphere and I really like it as a city, so will definitely visit their market this year. |
