There was a time when I was confronted with a similar situation: I knew a certain couple with the girl telling me about their 'supposedly' open relationship. Already being aware that she held a soft-spot for me, I didn't seek any play time with her because her BF was a freind of mine, & I thought she'd twisted the the truth (or bloody lied to me!) about their 'open relationship'.
Out socializing with him few days later, I discovered the open relationship was true & told him of my desire for his GF.
As a result, ultimately we 'Spit-rosted' her twice! |

I think it may raise the OP's status / credibility if people consider this: if the OP doesn't exploit any offer he's given, does he consider her likely to choose someone else (or would he be better off informing his friend of her possible future actions?).
