Vet your attendees and start small, to master the art of it. Balance guests and interests as well as you can.
Set house rules that all agree to adhere to.
Try and visit another party first, as you may find others who are suitable to invite but mainly to see what works etc.
Expect no shows, as people have family conflicts etc.
Don't lay out much money. Guests can bring some stuff along.
Search forums for other tips.
Make it fun for you too! |

"So im thinking off a throwing a fab party and have no idea what to do or where to begin...idea's and help would be great! Thankyou xxx"
You are in a good location for it in the west midlands, nice and central in the country for everyone. If you had a party say in birmingham then good transport links there aswel along with plenty of hotels for people to stay in. Good luck with it. |

"Are you thinking a house party or at a different venue?
Both have merits and issues.

im thinking at a different venue x "
Private venues would be reluctant to allow play - even socials can be problematic (there are endless stories in the media!).
Then you have licensing concerns re drinks.
It may be easier to liaise with a club and put an event on there - it's commonly done via this and other sites.
Good luck!
