Great my washing machine has decided to die on me. The drum cant seem to move and sounds like a aeroplane lol xx

The belt could have slipped off or snapped.

It could also be several other things but the above is a cheap and easy fix if it has.

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

Can you turn the drum by hand, ?

Has the machine filled with water started its cycle then stopped or is it as its trying to spin,

it works but with such a loud grinding noise. Yes can turn it by hand still makes a noise lol xx

Happened to mine about a month ago when the bearings disintegrated.

Stripped it down and replaced them - working lovely now

turn the drum by hand ...if there is less resistance than normal then it is the belt

Take the drum out and see if you can get a tune out of it. If you can, email AC/DC as they may be needing a new drummer soon.

sounds like the bearings, check prices might be cheaper buying another,

Sounds very much the bearings has gone, you will find 2 bearings that will need replacing at the same time replace the seal. You can google and buy a repair kit for the model number no of machine.

Easy job if your any good doing DIY. Bearings & Seal about £12.00 or you could removed and pop down to local bearing supplier who will more than likely have them in stock.
