Bradford

On giving evidence to the Iraq enquiry Lord Prescott ( formerly Deputy Prime Minister let us not forget ) is quoted as making the following comments :

"The intelligence on Iraq's weapons threat was not "very substantial",

he was "nervous" about the intelligence being presented in 2002 - some of which he said was based on "tittle-tattle".

"he did not have the knowledge to challenge the assessments."

Nevertheless, he defended the military action taken as "legal"

"he would take the same decision again."

Lord help us all. It certainly needs reforming now.

one could be forgiven if your first thoughts were

blimey , how can we have a TIT like prescott in the upper chamber ?

but when you mull it over in your mind at leisure the conclusion is he will fit in well

its full of characters he will mix with well , let me remind you of what they are like

johnny rotten , when doing the butter advert "i buy it cos i like it"

harry enfield playing the character

"tim nice but dim"

we have MP,s telling us all the time how clever they are , so why do we need the house of lords that is there in case parliament makes a mistake

even if they say a mistake has been made parliament can force its will

its all part of the biggest joke in history

uk democracy !

HMM PRESCOTT,when this thug was deputy PM prescott he was always against the pomp of house of lords wasn't he?,strange how he changed his mind and accepted a position up there with the lords after condemning them for all those years!,here was the working class lad (union rep also)from hull who used to be a trolley dolly on the cross-channel ferry who denies any existence now of his working class roots.

he ammassed a load of government (or union-owned)owned properties that he lived in that tax-payers or unions paid for yet he de-cried other people for having a second property (ie holiday homes?)and wanted them taking away from them!,also did he not want a crackdown on people who did not pay council tax yet conveniently forgot to pay his own?.

another labour deputy pm to take a seat in the house of lords is peter mendlesohn who as we all know has a terrible memory indeed and forgets about gifts he has recieved and mortgage loans details, the house of lords nowadays reminds me of the 'costa-del-crime' of a few years ago!.
