Ok, so the Factoid post inspired this - got a piece of trivia you'd love to share with everyone?

My fave bit of trivia is how the word Trivia came about - in Roman times when their legendary straight roads met at a T junction, they put up a sign showing where each road went. These information signs showed the three different ways you could go, giving rise to Tri (3) Via (way) hence TriVia....
I don't know why Quadvia signs at Crossroads never caught on... |
